Claire di Felice

Claire di Felice (1994), after completing a double degree in English and French law, obtained a master's degree in contemporary art from the Sotheby's Institute of Art in London. Since graduating in 2020, she has developed her career in the art world by writing, organising exhibitions and working in art galleries.Co-founder of MAI Photography and Contemporary Art, in January 2025 she began working as project manager for the Edward Steichen collections in Luxembourg at the CNA.

The filmmaker writes a letter to her Italian grandfather, who left Luxembourg at the time of her birth after falling in love with another woman in Austria and soon after fell ill. Too young to remember him clearly, and shielded from his absence by her parents, she reconstructs his presence through a filmed conversation with her grandmother, who shares intimate family stories long left unspoken. Today, Claire lives in the very house her grandfather built, a space marked by his gestures, his choices, his silences.Through images, voices, and silence, she reaches across time to grasp the weight of his absence and the unsettling resemblance that still binds them.
