All of Me, All of You
After My Echo, My Shadow and Me at the University of Luxembourg as part of Esch 2022 and Echoes of Self during the European Month of Photography at CAPE in Ettelbrück, All of Me, All of You is a new stage in the development of the participative self-portrait method The Self-Portrait Experience (SPEX).
Developed by Cristina Nuñez, SPEX is an internationally recognised system for individual and social transformation. Initiated by Nuñez as a self-therapy tool, the method has expanded and is now a peer-to-peer laboratory aimed at stimulating the unconscious creative process, broadening self-perception and engaging the audience in emotional reflection.
The exhibition features 18 photographs selected from workshops run by the artist and psycho-socio-educational professionals and attended by 80 pupils from the various participating educational establishments.
Alongside the exhibition at the Chapelle of neimënster, we can see autobiographical works by young people, particularly those with experience of migration, in the Tunnel Grund under the title Kind of Blue, as well as the online exhibition and discover the EMoSEE Cube.
The EMoSEE Cube is an interactive device in which visitors can take an emotional self-portrait and work on their multiple and changing perceptions of emotions on the face, in order to discover their potential and accept themselves. It will be presented and accessible to the general public for the first time in neimënster during the weekend of 8 to 10 November 2024.
The EMoSEE Cube will be open at neimënster:
-
Friday 8 November, from 18:30 to 20:00,
-
Saturday 9 November, from 10.00am to 6.00pm,
-
Sunday 10 November, from 10am to 6pm.
You will be guided by the artist Cristina Nuñez or one of the EMoSEE curators, Paul di Felice or Krystyna Dul.

Kind of Blue
The Kind of Blue exhibition is the result of the EMoSEE workshops, run by psycho-socio-educational professionals under the guidance of artist Cristina Nuñez, involving around 80 young people aged between 15 and 26 from various educational establishments in Luxembourg.
Kind of Blue presents a selection of autobiographical photographs taken by the young people under an artistic and curatorial direction and aimed at promoting personal expression through artistic creation. The EMoSEE workshops focus on transforming emotions into photographs and working with the multiple and changing perceptions of emotions on the human face. They offer a safe space to express and accept emotional states that are considered undesirable, particularly in the age of social networks and social norms of self-representation. The images captured by the workshop participants invite the audience to engage in a face-to-face encounter with the authentic, emotional expressions of young people. As a result, they act as a mirror, encouraging passers-by to reflect on their own emotions, transforming the exhibition into an interface for cultural and social sharing and interaction.
For the first month, these photographs will interact with the All of Me, All of You exhibition at the neimënster Chapel. In addition, a virtual exhibition will be available on the Art as Experience website (www.artasexperience.org).
The exhibition has been produced with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the City of Luxembourg.
